Our Guiding Principles

The Global Undergraduate Awards, as a non-profit organization established in Ireland, is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards in fundraising practices. We adhere fully to the Guidelines for Charitable Organisations on Fundraising from the Public, as set forth by The Charities Regulator Ireland.

The Statement exists to improve fundraising practice, promote high levels of accountability and transparency by organisations fundraising from the public, and provide clarity and assurances to donors and prospective donors about the organisations they support.

The Global Undergraduate Awards is registered in Ireland as a company limited by guarantee. We have structured a varied funding model consisting of the following three streams:

  1. Administrative fees from our Affiliate Universities, which allow us to promote our programme internationally;
  2. Corporate, university, and appropriate State agency partnerships;
  3. Philanthropic donations and grants from individuals and organisations.
    Unless otherwise requested, we acknowledge our donors, Partner and Affiliate Universities on our website with sincere thanks for their support.

We have considered the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising and believe we meet the standards it sets out. Please contact us for our Public Compliance Statement. We welcome your feedback on any element of our performance via any of the contact points provided. You can also contact us for our feedback and complaints procedure.
