The breakout sessions are designed to offer you a unique opportunity to tailor your days, connect with like-minded peers, and enjoy all the elements on offer.

The breakout sessions are designed to empower you with the insights and tools you need to make a real impact in your next career moves. Choose one session for each day and we look forward to meeting you and navigating the transformative landscape of the GUA Summit together.

Monday Breakout Session Choices:

  • Crafting Compelling Presentations with Diane Nolan: You might have already submitted your slides for your Global Winners presentation, if you have, this is a chance to warm up and get ready for your 15 minutes. If you aren't talking at the summit or maybe you have a poster use this interactive session to test your skills and have fun getting to know your fellow delegates. This session is a light, interactive 45 minutes of learning how to confidently command the space in any presentation setting.

  • Harnessing the Power of Networking with Kingsley Aikins: Founder and CEO of The Networking Institute Kingsley knows one or two things about getting the most out of networking opportunities. Let this session guide you on how to fully appreciate the importance of this social tool in developing a pathway to success.

  • "Job Hunters' Workshop" with Dr. Garret Maher: For those students entering the workforce, the GUA's Executive Dr. Garret Maher will share with students what he looks for in new hires and advise them on how to stand-out as candidates. This will include tips and recommendations, as well as time to practice your skills with your colleagues.

  • African Drumming Workshop: (only pick once) Team building wake up session to get your spirits and positive energy up for day 2 of the GUA Summit

  • GUA Judges Panel - Pathways After Graduation – What Happens Next?: Meet some of your Chair Judges and Judging panel in an informal Q&A session designed to help you harness your strengths and make choices for the future.

  • African Drumming Workshop: (only pick once) Team building wake up session to get your spirits and positive energy up for day 2 of the GUA Summit

  • Fireside Chat with Val Quinn: Our Monday Keynote speaker is back to offer you a chance to ask questions and delve deeper.
