The Global Undergraduate Awards is more than an awards programme. Throughout the year, we bring students, alumni, academics, university partners and members of our wider global community together through a programme of events designed to recognise achievement, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections.
From intimate alumni gatherings to regional award ceremonies and our flagship annual Global Summit, each event offers a different way to be part of the GUA community.
Together, these events create opportunities to celebrate exceptional undergraduate thinking, share research, connect across disciplines and borders, and build relationships that continue long after an event has ended.
Our events take place across different locations and communities, reflecting the international nature of GUA and the diversity of the students, academics and alumni who make up our network.
Some events celebrate achievement. Others create space for conversation, collaboration and professional connection. Some bring together students and academics within a particular region or university community, while others connect our global network across countries and disciplines.
Whatever the format, our events share a common purpose: to create opportunities for exceptional people and ideas to come together.
The Global Summit
Our flagship annual event, the Global Undergraduate Summit, brings together exceptional undergraduate researchers, recent graduates, academics, thought leaders and professionals from around the world.
Held over 3 days, the Summit combines award-winning research presentations with keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, poster sessions, networking and social events.
It is an opportunity for students to share their research on a global stage, encounter ideas beyond their own discipline and build relationships with peers and established leaders from across the academic and professional landscape.
The Summit represents the culmination of the GUA experience, bringing together the people, ideas and achievements that define our community.

All-Ireland Awards Ceremony
Our All-Ireland Award Ceremony provides an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional achievements of students from across the Island of Ireland, offering space to connect, reflect and share ideas.
These events bring together Irish Global Winners, Regional Winners and Highly Commended awardees, their university representatives, family members and members of the GUA community to celebrate outstanding undergraduate research and the achievement behind it.
They also provide an opportunity for students to meet others recognised through GUA.
GUA Together - Chapter Events
Our Chapter and alumni events bring the GUA community together beyond the annual awards cycle.
Hosted in different cities and regions, these gatherings create opportunities for alumni to reconnect, meet other GUA graduates and build new academic and professional relationships.
From informal networking events to structured discussions and speaker-led sessions, our GUA Together Chapters provide a space for alumni to share experiences, exchange ideas and remain actively connected to the GUA network.
As our global alumni community continues to grow, these events are an important part of how GUA develops connections that extend well beyond undergraduate study.
