Yong Xu graduated from the Asian School of Environment at Nanyang Technological University with a B.S. (Honours) in Environmental Earth Systems Science and a specialization in Ecology.
While studying, she conducted research in dung beetles as well as local ungulates with camera traps and was a molecular lab researcher in wildlife forensics for a professional internship. Beyond invertebrates and ungulates, she is passionate about wildlife photography, art, and the outdoors. She hopes to one day be able to conduct ecology research outside of Singapore and further her studies, all while enjoying the views and learning more about the natural environment.
