Tara recently graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a first class honours degree in Biomedical Science specialising in Pharmacology. During her undergraduate studies, she was awarded the title of Excellence Scholar, the Gold Medal award in Pharmacology and a studentship to study at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology where she was placed on the Dean’s List. Tara’s experience on the Amgen Scholar’s Programme at the University of Cambridge ignited her passion for research into the molecular basis of neurodegenerative diseases. As a recipient of the Wellcome Trust Four Year Studentship in Science, she is pursuing an MSc and DPhil in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford.
