Laura DeSousa graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree from the School of Child and Youth Care at Ryerson University. Laura is motivated by self-inquiry and through her studies, was able to further her knowledge and understanding of therapeutic techniques used to promote self-acceptance, overall wellbeing and resiliency. In the future, Laura hopes to pursue a career in the school milieu to educate children and youth who may differ from cultural norms and expectations about the importance self-love, acceptance and resiliency.
